YKK-AP (February 26, 2009)
APICS of Central Georgia is pleased to announce our next
Professional Development event will be held Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the
YKK-AP Architectural Products manufacturing facility in Dublin GA.
The 1,000,000 square foot, state of the art
manufacturing facility produces doors, windows and curtain wall systems for the
commercial building industry under the YKK-AP brand. Using only the best
materials and technologies, YKK-AP is a world leader in the manufacture of
aluminum building products. To ensure control of quality, delivery, and cost,
YKK-AP has vertically integrated all manufacturing at their technologically
advanced manufacturing facility.
The plant tour
began with a Networking/Company Overview from 6:00 to 6:30pm.
A guide tour of the YKK-AP facility began at 6:30-7:30.
After the plant tour a short meeting was held
with certificates presented to those members who have passed the CPIM exam. CEGA
would like to thank YKK-AP for the organized and informative plant tour.
