CEGA Board Meeting Tuesday November 15, 2005
Chapter CEGA Board of Directors meeting was held on Tuesday
November 15, 2005 at the Kokomos Island Cafe on Watson Blvd. Warner Robins, GA.
Board Members Present:
Keith Flury, Clint Grant, Sandra Harvey, Dennis Leahy, Pam
Moore, and visiting member Debra Leahy.
The Board of Directors meeting was called to order by the
President Dennis Leahy at 6pm.
Old Business:
Clint Grant completed archiving the historical board
meeting and newsletter on the CEGA website. Clint also provided an APICS email
address for all board members.
Intergraph company renewed their corporate membership.
Dennis steadily contacting Warner Robins businesses listed
with the Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce business expressing appreciation for
advertising for APICS certified personnel.
New Business:
Clint and Dennis attended 2005 International Conference and
Exposition in St. Louis
This was an exciting and informative event that covered
Operations Improvement, Emerging Trends and Lean Strategies. Some of the
courses attended were:
- Using Lean Principles in the Supply Chain
- RFID, Beyond the Hype: Creating a Road Map for
Business Value
- RFID: Revolutionizing Inventory Management Across the
Supply Chain

- Plant tour of the Harley Davidson Manufacturing Plant

- Mike Ditka
Of course Kansas City offered great Jazz, Bar-B-Que, and
other great eating establishments.
Keith coordinating PDM for April 2006 tour of the Lithonia
Plant.
Pam Moore stated requirements for Lithonia Plant tour:
3 weeks notice
Clearance required
Evening tour 6-8pm
The chapter has purchased a General Liability Insurance
policy (USI Insurance Services, Inc.).
Nominated purchase by Sandra and seconded by Pam
Membership News:
64 current CEGA chapter members
Increased by 10 members from the previous month. Wonderful
news!
Education News:
Classes at YKK are three chapters from completion.
According to Dennis the classes are going well and it is a great learning
environment.
Classes at MTC are currently in process and going well.

Transfer of Financial responsibilities in process of
completion to Clint pending CEGA board members signature at Bank of America
