CEGA Board Meeting
April 6, 2006

 

President Dennis Leahy calls the board meeting to order at Cheddar’s at 6:30 pm on Thursday April 6, 2006

Board Members Present:

Keith Flury

Clint Grant

Sandra Harvey

Janet Boyd

 

Old Business:

Dennis contacted the Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce to obtain information on becoming a member of the Warner Robins Chamber.

Requirements to join Warner Robins Chamber-

$250.00-yearly fee-$25.00 application fee

Keith contacted the Macon Chamber of Commerce to obtain information on becoming a member of the Macon Chamber.

Requirements to join Macon Chamber-

            $305.00-yearly fee-$25.00 application fee

The President motioned not to join both Chamber of Commerce and all present board member seconded motion.

Lithonia Plant Tour tentatively scheduled for the week of June either on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Tour is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm all members should arrive at 6:00pm. Tour is expected to last 1˝ hours. Directions to Lithonia plant in Cochran will be available at a later date. Keith agreed to finalize with tour with Pam Moore.

 

New Business:

Treasure Report presented by Clint- briefed cash flow sheet for months of February, March and beginning of April.

Income taxes not filed for calendar year 2005

Met criteria exceptions:

Non-profit organization

            Income not met for filing

 Education:

According to CEGA instructor and President Dennis states “looks good”.

Classes are expected to begin at Robins AFB. No specifics available at this time.

Next board meeting tentatively scheduled for May 2006.

            Transition meeting at Lithonia Plant Tour:

            Janet Boyd nominated as treasure

Anthony Patti nominated as VP Marketing

Effective date for board positions: July 1, 2006- June 30, 2007

Voting to be held at next board meeting

 

The CEGA Chapter held its 1st quarter PDM of 2006, at Chez Lisa’s, North Davis Drive, Warner Robins. The meeting was attended by 23 members/associates. President Dennis Leahy welcomed all attendees, and introduced the attending members of the Board of Directors.

After a fantastic meal, Mark Black, of Lean Horizons, gave an excellent presentation on Effective Lean Implementation.  Afterward, President Dennis Leahy presented Mark with an APICS pen and pencil set as a token of appreciation.
